Lead Product Owner

Salary: £60,000-£65,000

Location: Lincoln / Hybrid

Our client is undergoing a digital transformation and requires a strategic Lead Product Owner to oversee product delivery across their digital estate.
This role offers the opportunity to guide a team, shape priorities, and deliver services that make a measurable difference.

About the Role:

As Lead Product Owner, you will manage a portfolio of digital products and develop a small team of Product Owners.
You will work within Agile Product Teams alongside Solution Architects, delivery partners, and service leads.

You will influence quarterly strategic planning and prioritisation decisions, ensuring digital change aligns with organisational goals.
This hands-on leadership role involves managing product backlogs, driving roadmap alignment, and fostering continuous learning and innovation.


What You'll Be Doing:

  • Leading and mentoring Product Owners across multiple delivery teams
  • Owning the product strategy and backlog for complex, high-impact products
  • Participating in programme increment (PI) planning and agile ceremonies
  • Representing product priorities in strategic planning
  • Translating business needs into user stories and prioritised workstreams
  • Managing stakeholder expectations and business engagement
  • Coordinating supplier delivery and holding partners to account
  • Embedding agile methodologies, including SAFe, Scrum, and Lean practices
  • Driving value through continuous product optimisation
  • Promoting adoption of Microsoft Fabric, Power Platform, and ArcGIS

About You:

  • Proven experience leading product teams and agile delivery in a digital environment
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and business-facing communication skills
  • Experience managing supplier delivery and holding external partners to account
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to influence investment decisions
  • Confidence managing high-volume backlogs across multiple products
  • Understanding of digital governance frameworks such as GDAD
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric, Power Platform, and geospatial tools like ArcGIS is a plus
