The Mathematics Department is committed to delivering clear, purposeful lessons that promote deep understanding. They are seeking a full-time, long-term Maths Teacher to join their collaborative team—someone who can inspire students and contribute to the department’s ongoing success.
Key Responsibilities:-
Deliver engaging and effective Maths lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.

Adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students and support their individual progress.

Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages participation and cultivates a growth mindset.

Assign and assess homework in accordance with school policies, offering constructive feedback to aid student development.

Maintain good classroom discipline while fostering a supportive and respectful atmosphere.

Assist in developing departmental resources and schemes of work.

Prepare students thoroughly for their GCSEs, offering targeted support and revision strategies.

Work collaboratively with colleagues to uphold high standards of teaching and learning.

Track and report on student progress, communicating effectively with parents and senior leadership.

Participate in staff meetings, school events, and departmental planning.

Take part in the wider life of the school, including extracurricular activities and school-wide initiatives.

Strong knowledge of the mathematics curriculum and a genuine enthusiasm for teaching the subject.

Excellent classroom management and student engagement skills.

Effective communication skills for working with students, staff, and parents.

Confidence using educational technology to support learning (e.g., interactive whiteboards, teaching software).

A valid Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
