We’re hiring for an Accounts Assistant to join a thriving and ambitious business in Glossop, supporting both the sales and purchase ledger functions.
Your work will directly contribute to the company’s cash flow, supplier relationships, and overall financial health.

What will you be doing as an Accounts Assistant?
- Processing and reconciling customer and supplier payments
- Managing purchase and sales ledger entries and records
- Matching purchase orders with invoices and delivery notes
- Handling credit notes, debit notes, and customer refunds
- Preparing and executing payment runs
- Liaising with customers and suppliers regarding queries and account updates
- Supporting the preparation of monthly accounts and financial reporting
- Managing regular bank and stock reconciliations
- Assisting the wider finance team with administrative duties and audit preparation
What do you need?
- Previous experience in either a sales ledger, purchase ledger or broader accounts role
- Experience working in a supply chain, wholesale, or manufacturing environment (desirable)
- Familiarity with Sage (desirable)
- AAT qualification (desirable)
- Strong communication skills and the ability to manage a busy workload
