Your new companyHays Senior Finance are currently working with a market-leading company in Worcester as they look to recruit a driven and dynamic Management Accountant on a permanent basis. Our client prides themselves on providing excellent care and services to the education sector and have grown consistently in recent years.

Your new roleAs Management Accountant, you will support the finance and operations teams with any financial/analytical reporting requirements and ensure the balance sheet is fully reconciled.

Main duties:

  • Prepare and review P&L, identifying/investigating variances
  • Maintain balance sheet control accounts including accruals and prepayments
  • Support with the development of budgets and forecasts
  • Provide insight and actions to improve business performance
  • Business partner with Operations to identify opportunities and mitigate risks
  • Review processes to support financial compliance
  • Reconcile data between operating systems and SAP financial systems
  • Assist with annual audit and year-end close
  • Attend client meetings to support business negotiations

What you'll need to succeed

  • Actively studying towards a recognised accountancy qualification (ACCA/CIMA)
  • Previous experience of preparing accurate and timely management accounts
  • Strong reconciliation skills and dealing with large data sets
  • Comfortable liaising with internal/external stakeholders and senior management
  • Capable of embracing change in a fast-paced environment
  • Advanced Excel skills and proficient with accounting packages (SAP an advantage)
