Semi-Senior AccountantWorcester - Full-time, Permanent (In office 5 days a week)Salary: £31,000 – £36,000 (DOE) & progression We’re working with a well-established and growing accountancy practice based in Worcester that’s looking to welcome a capable and motivated Semi-Senior Accountant to its team. This is a great opportunity for someone studying AAT, ACCA or ACA (or QBE), who is looking to build on their experience in a client-facing role with exposure to a wide variety of businesses. You’ll be supported by a friendly and experienced team, working with a portfolio of different clients while gaining valuable experience in statutory accounts, tax returns, and client communication. This would be a great opportunity for a Semi Senior Accountant to join a family feel team in Worcester. Semi Senior Accountant Role:

Preparing year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
Assisting with personal and corporation tax returns
Supporting bookkeeping and VAT return preparation
Liaising directly with clients to gather information and resolve queries
Supporting senior staff on ad-hoc advisory and planning projects
Assisting with management accounts preparation where required
Working closely with colleagues and supporting junior team members

Semi Senior Accountant Profile:

AAT qualified / ACCA or ACA part-qualified / or qualified by experience
Previous experience within a UK accountancy practice (min. 2 years ideally)
Comfortable preparing accounts to trial balance
Familiar with tax computations and VAT
Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills
Experience with accounting software (e.g. Xero, Sage, QuickBooks)
A positive attitude and willingness to learn and take ownership
