Quality CMM Operator (Double Days)
Location - Worcestershire
We are currently recruiting for a CMM Inspector within the Machining-Quality Department. After initial training this role will be working a Double Day Shift pattern in the Inspection Room.Â
The role
- Program & operate our Zeiss Prismo CMM inspection machines.
- Complete independent Diametric & Geometric checks on both WIP & finished parts using the Zeiss CMM machines in the inspection room.
- Communicate any discrepancies with operators & team leaders.
- Recheck adjusted work for compliance to drawing & SOP requirements
- Read & interpret Zeiss Calypso results & relate to machining activities
- Collate data to liaise & aid in improvement activities with Machining Process Engineers
Person Specification
- Quality & productivity focused, confident, flexible & highly motivated
- Good communication skills are essential
- Adept in Problem Solving
- Good skills in mathematics, specifically trigonometry
Essential Criteria
- Experience of operating CMM machines.
- Have an understanding in how to navigate Windchill or similar PLM systems.
- Understand & can interpret engineering drawings.
Desirable Criteria
- Program CMM's from drawings on 3D models.
- Have HNC or similar engineering qualification.
