Role OverviewThe Community Network Manager will report directly to Operations Manager (Money Guiders: Communities). In this role, you will be responsible for:Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the delivery of the Wales Community Network including budget, resources, delivery timelines, quality, risks, and key stakeholder relationships.
  • Scale and sustain the practitioner network in Wales, growing the membership through management and development of an annual programme of events and delivery of a communications, engagementand member retention strategy.
  • Manage budget and spend within MaPS policies, ensuring the effective procurement and delivery of supplier contracts, including for individual speakers or sessions, and for regular programmed events including the Wales Regional Financial Wellbeing Forums.
  • Manage the delivery of a high-quality experience for community of practice members, including on-boarding, access to up-to-date knowledge, events, online community spaces, and maintenance ofpractitioner records.
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of local financial wellbeing policy and the stakeholder landscape, as they relate to money guidance practice in the nation (e.g. welfare benefits policy, regional funding streams etc), ensuring relevant knowledge is transferred to the community network.
  • Curate content across different channels, moderate online spaces and knowledge store, and create relevant content for newsletters, blogs, bulletins, and social media.
  • Manage the effective monitoring and reporting for the community of practice against KPIs, objectives and milestones; including data and information management, data sharing, evaluation and researchprojects, impact assessments (e.g. data protection, equalities and vulnerabilities)
  • Manage continual improvements to systems and processes to optimise quality and efficiency, to mitigate risks and Single Point of Failure and to support business continuity.
  • Manage project teams including internal specialists, external suppliers, and senior stakeholders
You will need to demonstrate the following skills and experience. To excel in this role, you will need to demonstrate:
  • Knowledge of the financial wellbeing and money guidance landscape in Wales, specifically devolved nation policy
  • Experience of developing and managing skills/practice based learning communities at scale i.e. Community of Practice or Membership Community, with ability to drive conversations and engagement both on and off line.
  • Experience of organising, hosting and facilitating community events (in-person and online) e.g. conferences, webinars, forums, workshops, action learning, or training events
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities and matrix working with wider operational delivery teams and the Wales Devolved Team / other directorates; managing the demands of multiple internal stakeholders.
  • Strong networking and relationship building skills with the ability to form and maintain sustainable partnerships with community members and external stakeholders
  • Ability to communicate effectively across a range of internal and external stakeholders and audiences across different media (both written and public speaking / facilitation experience)
  • Ability to regularly travel across Wales to attend meetings and facilitate in person events.
  • Skilled in community engagement metrics and KPI tracking, monitoring, analysis and reporting of management information; working with ongoing evaluation and research data to inform continuous improvement.
