Ivy Resource Group are seeking an experienced and well-organised Senior Site Engineer with strong leadership skills to join our client's West Midlands regional construction site engineering team.

This is a site-based role with overall responsibility for controlling the site engineering and technical aspects of construction works, whilst implementing a strict regime for quality control. Duties will also include supporting the management of health and safety and environmental control of site operations.



What you will be doing

  • Ensuring that project works comply with contract specifications and drawings, and maintaining appropriate records to confirm compliance.

  • Building and maintaining excellent working relationships with clients and their representatives/advisors.

  • Implementing company strategies and policies on Sustainability, Health & Safety, Quality, Environmental, Training & Development.

  • Acting as a role model for company culture and values.

  • Applying the Company's Business Management System.

  • Proactively identifying and resolving problems on site.

  • Supporting initiatives to drive continuous improvement.

  • Line management responsibilities, including annual appraisals and development for junior staff.

  • Carrying out any other duties relevant to the role.



What we will need from you

  • Appropriate technical knowledge and main contractor construction experience (essential).

  • Degree (or equivalent) in a relevant construction subject (preferred).

  • SMSTS qualification and appropriate CSCS Card (essential).

  • Comprehensive experience in a similar role as a Senior Site Engineer (essential).

  • Strong technical background with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Ability to use initiative, apply logical/critical thinking, and resolve problems effectively.

  • Robust analytical and planning skills with strong attention to detail.
