Site Engineer - Bridge Structures
Salary: £35,000 - £50,000 (depending on experience)

Due to ongoing growth, we are seeking a fully qualified Site Engineer with proven experience in bridge and structures projects to join our delivery team.
The Role
As a Site Engineer, you will play a key role in the safe and efficient delivery of bridge and structural works on site. You will be responsible for setting out, quality assurance, technical compliance, and supporting site operations to ensure projects are delivered to programme, budget, and specification.
This role offers clear progression opportunities into Senior Engineer and Site Management positions, alongside continued professional development and support for Level 4+ qualifications where appropriate.
Key Responsibilities
·Lead and manage engineering activities on site, with a strong focus on bridge and structural elements
·Ensure full compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality (SHEQ) policies and procedures
·Implement and enforce risk assessments, method statements, and site safety controls
·Support the execution of works in line with the project programme, technical specifications, and quality standards
·Carry out setting out, surveying, dimensional control, and verification of works
·Monitor site productivity and performance, contributing to reporting and operational efficiency improvements
·Maintain accurate site diaries, records, and quality documentation
·Assist with resource coordination - materials, plant, and labour - to maximise site efficiency
·Prepare and manage Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) to ensure works meet contractual and technical requirements
·Raise and manage Technical Queries (TQs) in coordination with Senior Engineers and Site Management
·Collate and prepare As-Built records, ensuring all site changes are accurately documented
·Work collaboratively with engineers, subcontractors, and site management to ensure coordinated delivery
·Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and share lessons learned across projects
About You
·Fully qualified Site Engineer (HNC/HND, Degree, or equivalent)
·Demonstrable experience working on bridge or civil structures projects
·Strong understanding of setting out, structural works, and quality control processes
·Sound knowledge of UK health & safety regulations and construction standards
·Proficient with surveying equipment and engineering software
·Strong communication and teamwork skills
·Proactive, organised, and quality-focused approach to site delivery
