This market leading European Building Materials company manufactures & sells fire classified façade & building envelope construction products across the UK & Europe.

The company have a well known established European brand based on quality & innovation.

Their diverse product portfolio are specified by major architects & engineering consultants. They are also sold directly to Tier 1 & Tier 2 Construction Contractors, Specialist Building Envelope Subcontractors, National Housing Developers, Architectural Glazing Installers and via a network of distributors.

Their products are used on major Commercial , Residential , Leisure, Mixed Use & Light Industrial Construction schemes across Europe.

With a turnover more than £30 million the company are looking to grow to, circa, £150 million in a 5-year period . This will be achieved through merger & acquisition, new product development and organic sales growth .

As part of this growth plan they are looking to enhance the Senior Leadership team with a Sales & Marketing Director to focus on growing sales revenues in the UK & Ireland.

A strategic sales role, that reports into the Board, the Sales & Marketing Director will lead the functions of New Business Development , Client Development , Specification Sales & Account Management.

Based in the company offices in Worcestershire the Sales & Marketing Director will be responsible for developing & executing a sales strategy that supports the company’s ambitious growth plans.

This includes developing an established & high performing sales team, driving customer acquisition & retention, and expanding into new markets leveraging the quality of products & the strong European brand.

Based from the office this is a key leadership role requiring a mix of strategic thinking & hands-on commercial execution.

The Sales & Marketing Director will be instrumental in driving UK and Ireland business growth, ensuring seamless business processes across the sales functions of account management, Architect & Specification sales, client development and new business whilst ensuring a first class customer experience.

Managing an established, motivated & high performing sales team of 25, the successful candidate will need to demonstrate inspiring leadership experience and a collaborative approach.

The successful candidate will also be able to demonstrate a track record of developing & driving an innovative sales strategies, and contributing to significant revenue growth within a building materials manufacturing organisation of a similar size. ( ideally Building Envelope, Facade, Cladding or Insulation related products) 

They will also have experience of the Construction Materials supply chain, the Architects & specification sales process and sales directly into Construction Contractors.

The candidate will have excellent commercial acumen , strategic negotiation skills and experience of dealing at Executive level.

It is also critical that the candidate is able to commute to the office on a daily basis . This is not a remote role.

In return the successful candidate will benefit from an attractive basic salary ranging between £90k-£140k+ ( negotiable DoE) , 23 days holiday +BH, Contributory pension, a quarterly company bonus ( Up to 25% of salary per annum) , an executive company car /car allowance and excellent long term career prospects .
