Job Title: Teaching Assistant – SEMH / Behaviour SupportPay Rate: £85.13 - £95.63Location: Worcester Hours: 8.30am – 3.30pm

Smart Education is currently recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to work at a “Good” Ofsted-rated school based in Worcester. The school provides bespoke education up to GCSE level for students who have experienced challenges in mainstream education, particularly around behaviour and engagement. This is a PRU establishment.

The school is committed to providing an inclusive, supportive environment and delivering high-quality learning opportunities for all students.

Requirements:
  • Experience supporting students with behavioural or emotional needs

  • Ability to work under the guidance of teaching staff to deliver tailored support

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Ability to implement behaviour management strategies in line with school policy

  • A team player committed to safeguarding and student wellbeing

  • Flexibility, adaptability, and a proactive attitude

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support students with severe and complex needs, helping to overcome barriers to learning

  • Assist in the planning and delivery of individual or group support programmes

  • Promote inclusion and equal opportunities for all students

  • Foster a purposeful and safe learning environment

  • Collaborate closely with staff, students, and families to promote progress and positive outcomes
