A client within the Public Sector based in Worcestershire is currently recruiting for a Water Hygiene Manager to join their Compliance and Facilities Management team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full-time, temporary position on a rolling contract with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority within a property compliance or estates environment.The Role Key purpose of the role is lead on water hygiene compliance across the council’s estate, ensuring that water systems across corporate and school buildings meet all legislative standards, including Legionella control and ACOP L8 requirements. The role focuses on contractor management, risk assessments, policy development, and strategic oversight of water hygiene services.Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:• Managing and delivering the council’s water hygiene compliance strategy.• Overseeing Legionella risk assessments, audits, and remedial works.• Monitoring contractor performance and ensuring service compliance.• Leading stakeholder meetings and producing compliance reports.• Providing leadership and technical guidance on water hygiene matters.The Candidate To be considered for this role you will require:• Strong working knowledge of ACOP L8, HSG 274 (Parts 1–3), and current water safety legislation.• Minimum 3 years' experience managing water hygiene across a varied estate, ideally within a local authority or education sector.• Relevant qualification in water hygiene management, environmental health, or a related compliance discipline.The below skills would be beneficial for the role:• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.• Technological proficiency in compliance monitoring systems and data reporting.• Excellent organisational, communication, and time management skills.The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering £25 per hour Umbrella LTD Inside IR35 (approx. £20 per hour PAYE).How to Apply If this position sounds of interest, email a copy of your up-to-date CV to .uk or call Amy at Service Care Construction on to discuss the vacancy in more detail.Also, if this role is not of interest to you, but you are looking for new opportunities, please still get in touch as we cover all construction-related vacancies across the region.Referral BonusIf this role is not suitable for yourself, but you know someone who may be interested, please pass on their details or forward these details to them.
