Finance Manager / Bookkeeper – Worcestershire – Full Time

We are a firm of accountants, working on behalf of a company based in the Worcester/Redditch area, who are currently looking to recruit a full-time Finance Manager/Bookkeeper, who is reliable and detail-focused and can manage day-to-day financial tasks. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety and values accuracy and clear communication.

You'll handle bookkeeping, maintain financial records and liaise directly with suppliers, customers, and the external accountant.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform accurate bookkeeping and data entry
  • Prepare financial statements and complete bank/account reconciliations
  • Raise and process purchase and sales invoices
  • Maintain purchase and sales ledgers
  • Identify and resolve ledger discrepancies
  • Manage credit control and respond to supplier/customer queries
  • Submit quarterly VAT returns
  • Use the business's specialist accounting software
  • Collaborate with the external accountant to ensure accurate reporting

The Person

You’ll need:

  • Proven experience in a bookkeeping or finance manager role
  • Solid understanding of financial systems and VAT returns
  • Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach
  • Confidence in communicating with external stakeholders
  • Experience using accounting software (e.g. Xero, Sage, or similar)
