Personal Tax ManagerLocation: WorcesterCompetitive Salary – Full-Time About the Role We are working on behalf of a leading accountancy practice in Worcester to recruit a Personal Tax Manager, following continued business growth. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced personal tax professional to join a dynamic and supportive firm in a leadership position within the Private Client Tax team. As a Personal Tax Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing personal and trust tax compliance for a diverse portfolio of clients. In addition to compliance you will also be involved in advisory projects, helping clients minimise tax liabilities within the framework of current legislation. This position is ideal for a proven Manager or a high-performing Assistant Manager ready to take the next step. Personal Tax Manager Responsibilities:
  • Manage and oversee a portfolio of private clients, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of personal and trust tax compliance services.
  • Review self-assessment tax returns prepared by junior team members, ensuring quality standards before submission.
  • Provide tailored tax planning and advisory services.
  • Be a point of contact for complex client queries, delivering clear and proactive advice.
  • Contribute to team development through supervision, technical guidance, and performance reviews.
  • Liaise directly with HMRC and third parties when required on client matters.
  • Ensure all work complies with relevant legislation, internal policies, and professional standards.
Personal Tax Manager Requirements:
  • Qualified CTA preferred; ACA or ATT considered with strong personal tax experience.
  • Experience in private client tax within a UK accountancy practice.
  • Ability to manage a client portfolio independently.
  • Strong review skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex tax issues in a clear, client-friendly manner.
  • Proven ability to mentor and support junior colleagues.
