Description

As a HR Operations Manager:

  • Leading and supporting a team of HR Advisors and Administrators to ensure efficient and accurate delivery of core HR services.
  • Providing expert guidance on contracts, terms and conditions, and employment policies.
  • Overseeing payroll-related HR administration and ensuring compliance with legislation and audit requirements.
  • Acting as the point of expertise for right to work checks, immigration processes, and UKVI compliance.
  • Working closely with HR colleagues to support organisational reporting (e.g. HESA), Freedom of Information and Subject Access Requests.
  • Driving process improvements to enhance efficiency and service delivery.
  • Supporting strategic HR projects and contributing to the ongoing development of policies, systems, and training.

Profile

  • Proven experience managing HR operations or shared services in a complex organisation.
  • Strong working knowledge of employment law, payroll processes, right to work and immigration compliance.
  • Excellent leadership and team development skills.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach with a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Confidence in working with stakeholders across multiple departments, and representing HR in cross-functional settings.
