Eaton Syalon are proud to be working on an exclusive basis with a successful and well-established client based in the West Midlands, the role is ideal for candidates based in Worcestershire and the surrounding areas. We are supporting our client to recruit a highly capable Operations Manager to take ownership of daily operations across warehouse, stock, compliance and service functions.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background is within site management, transport and production.

This is a pivotal role for the business and offers the opportunity to join a forward thinking organisation at a time of growth and positive change.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all daily operations across the business, including goods in/out, storage, repair and distribution
  • Ensure stock control is accurate and effective, including checks, reconciliations and reporting
  • Lead warehouse layout, organisation and maintenance to drive efficiency
  • Promote and enforce health & safety procedures, maintaining a clean and compliant working environment
  • Oversee all equipment maintenance and schedule necessary repairs
  • Recruit, train and lead a small operations team, supporting development and performance reviews
  • Review and monitor KPIs and operational performance data, identifying improvements
  • Maintain compliance with relevant legislation and internal policies, including risk assessments and internal audits
  • Support budget planning and cost-effective resource allocation
  • Drive continuous improvement across systems, processes and service levels

Skills and Experience:

  • Previous experience in an Operations Manager or Warehouse Manager position is essential
  • Strong leadership experience within a B2B, distribution, manufacturing, or logistics environment
  • Excellent understanding of warehouse operations, stock control and compliance
  • Confident managing teams, resolving issues and driving performance
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; knowledge of SAP or Salesforce is advantageous
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to analyse performance data and deliver logical, workable solutions
  • Hands-on, proactive and able to work under pressure while maintaining high standards
