RESIDENT - MECHANICAL (TRADES AND LABOUR)

Carbon60 is looking to recruit Mechanical Engineers to carry out both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive duties across mechanical systems within Worcestershire Royal Hospital.

ROLE: Resident - Mechanical (Trades and Labour)

PAY RATE: 17.00/per hour

CONTRACT TYPE: 3 Months (27th October 2025 - 31st January 2026)

LOCATION: Worcestershire Royal Hospital

THE ROLE:
Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive duties across mechanical systems, ensuring all plant operates safely and efficiently. Work will include Steam boilers, clarifiers, Med Gas systems, general heating systems, and Air Handling Units (AHUs).
Ensure all work complies with site schedules, safety, and quality standards.
Maintain accurate site logbooks and records of maintenance, inspections, and test results.
Provide technical support in emergency situations to maintain operational continuity.
Supervise and coordinate with other engineering staff as required.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Proven experience as a Mechanical Engineer in a similar environment.
Capable of performing both reactive and preventative maintenance duties.
Strong knowledge of hospital mechanical systems including Steam boilers, AHUs, Med Gas systems, and general heating.
Competent in health and safety practices and statutory compliance.
Strong communication and reporting skills.
