Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Tooling Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mechanical engineering and tooling design, with a focus on optimising manufacturing processes. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop innovative tooling solutions that meet production requirements and enhance efficiency.
Overall Purpose of the Role:
- Maintaining Die and Trim tool condition for Production through TPM programme. - Supporting production by carrying out breakdowns in machines.
- Working to achieve schedules for production tooling changes.
- Support where needed for other toolroom priorities such as machine breakdowns etc.
- Look and implement any continuous improvement that would improve reliability on tooling
- To work in a disciplined, methodical approach, complying with all Company Procedures and the relevant Health & Safety legislation.
- To adopt a "CAN DO" culture, both within the Toolroom and in dealings with others. Skills: - Turning, milling, grinding, bench fitting.
- Stripping/Assembling of dies and trimtools.
- Good organisational and communication skills. - Previous Experience working within a Toolroom environment would be preferred. - Use of Overhead Crane/FLT (Training would be provided). - TIG Welding (Training would be given)
Shift Patterns:
Hours - 37.5 per week (double days rotational role)
AM:
6am - 2pm
PM:
2pm - 10pm
