Sonic Summary

The Quality Engineer position is located in Worcester and offers a salary range of £40k to £50k plus bonuses.
The role requires candidates to have experience in a similar position within the automotive or aerospace industry, along with ISO 9001 knowledge.
Responsibilities include ensuring parts meet specifications, completing certificates of conformity, and conducting system audits.
Candidates should be proficient in using measuring equipment and able to contribute to the PPAP process.
While not essential, experience in plastic injection molding and Lean/Six Sigma qualifications are desirable.

Quality Engineer

Location: Worcester

Salary: £40k - £50k + Bonus

What you'll be doing - Quality Engineer

Ensure first-off parts are to drawing & specification; record and pass off as appropriate
Complete certificates of conformity and submit to clients
Complete 8Ds, SCARs, root-cause analysis and or 5Ys when necessary
Suggest and implement appropriate countermeasures (e.g. Poke Yoke)
Gather information, complete, and submit for approval PPAPs (incl APQPs, PFMEAs)
Conduct system audits as per schedule matrix
Manage and execute CMM report requests from customers/management, as directed
Suggest, and implement as directed, cost-saving & scrap reduction ideas

Your skills and experiences - Quality Engineer

Has worked in a similar role in the automotive or aerospace industry
It is essential that you have experience with ISO 9001
Be able to contribute to the PPAP process
Be able to use a variety of measuring equipment including; micrometer, vernier and CMM.

Desirable (but not essential) - Quality Engineer

Experience of working in plastic injection moulding
Demonstrable Lean/Six Sigma experience would be an advantage
Internal Auditor qualifications and experience would be advantageous
