An Exciting Opportunity to Join Our Dynamic Purchasing Team!
We are currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Buyer to join our fast-paced Purchasing Department. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in managing and scheduling a defined supplier base, predominantly supplying components used in general assembly. This role is ideal for someone with strong supply chain experience and a passion for continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage supply chain deliveries in line with ERP requirements
- Execute MRP, KANBAN, and JIT ordering strategies
- Maintain and manage the order book to ensure accuracy and on-time deliveries
- Monitor and manage negative stock reports
- Proactively identify and mitigate potential shortages
- Collaborate with suppliers to resolve delivery and missing part issues efficiently
- Drive and improve OTIF (On Time In Full) performance across your supplier base
- Maintain accurate and appropriate ordering parameters within the system
- Resolve invoice queries with internal and external stakeholders

- Familiarity with manufacturing processes and production environments
- Excellent planning and communication skills
- A solid understanding of project and production planning
- Proven ability in planning and scheduling within a fast-moving supply chain environment
Desirable Skills:
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics AX (preferred but not essential)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
