Our client, Worcestershire County Council, is seeking an agency Team Manager for its Locality Safeguarding Team.
This will be a 4 – 5 month assignment initially. And the pay rate available is £41.42 umbrella umbrella.
The role will involve the following:
- The teams are responsible for implementing complex child in need planning, child protection plans, private and public court proceedings.
- The focus of the work is supporting families to care for children safely.
- The team work closely with our specialist family support services and a multidisciplinary team working with families who are affected by substance misuse, mental health difficulties and domestic abuse- this supports social workers to have more time undertaking direct work with children and young people.
- Team managers support the work of our experienced social workers and ASYE’s providing regular supervision and team manager oversight to the members of staff they supervise.
- The chairing of strategy meetings and Public Law Outline Meetings also forms part of the various duties as a team manager.
- The teams are focused on improving outcomes for children and ensuring that high quality services are delivered to the children and families we work with.
Requirements of the role:
- Qualified Social Worker
- Fully Social Work England registered
- Must have strong post-qualified experience in children’s social care including experience of the above fields of work
- Must have previous experience as a manager or supervisor in a statutory children’s social care setting
