GSL Education are currently seeking an enthusiastic Teacher to join a local school based in Bovington, supporting learners in core subjects such as English, Maths, and Science.

The school supports students who have been excluded from mainstream education, which could be for a variety of reasons, such as - behaviour, emotional dysregulation etc. The school therefore emphasises the importance of collaboration between staff, students, parents, and management for success. About the role:
You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons in English, Maths, and Science to small groups of pupils with additional learning needs. With a strong focus on personalised learning and holistic development, you’ll work closely with a dedicated team of teaching assistants, therapists, and other professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality lessons in English, Maths and Science tailored to meet the individual needs of pupils.
- Assess, record and report on pupils’ progress and development, using this to inform teaching.
- Create a positive, safe and stimulating classroom environment that supports learning and emotional wellbeing.
- Implement and contribute to individual education plans (IEPs), behaviour plans and support strategies.
- Work collaboratively with other staff, therapists and families to ensure a consistent and holistic approach to learning and development.
- Use a variety of teaching methods and resources to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school, including participation in enrichment activities, educational visits and whole-school events.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to reviews, meetings, and reports as required.
- Uphold the school’s safeguarding and behaviour policies at all times.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience or a strong interest in working with children with SEN
- Ability to teach across various Key Stages (training and support provided)
- A nurturing, creative and adaptable approach to teaching
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork
