Electrical Day Engineer

Location: Workington

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Our client, a global leader in manufacturing, is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join their engineering team on a permanent, full-time basis.

The successful candidate will be responsible for day-to-day engineering operations at the Cumbria site. Working as part of a proactive maintenance team, the role focuses on minimising downtime and enhancing overall productivity. While many tasks will be team-based, there will also be occasions where independent work is required.

We are looking for a self-motivated and driven individual with a positive approach to problem-solving. A willingness to learn and adapt to a wide range of equipment is essential. This role offers the opportunity for growth, and consistent high performance could lead to further career development within the organisation.

Responsibilities:

  • Onsite maintenance and engineering support for site assets to ensure OEE is
  • maximised
  • Working on planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules
  • Assisting shift engineers on reactive maintenance
  • Completing planned maintenance tasks designated by Engineering Team Leader
  • Prioritising workload.
  • Working in a positive manner and is open to a new tasks and challenges
  • Fully utilise Stock control systems including input, management and improvement
  • activities associated within.
  • Training and development of co-workers as required i.e. apprentices and other
  • maintenance department staff.
  • Ability to use CMMS system for maintenance purposes

Knowledge and Experience

  • Positive attitude

  • Good organisational skills
  • Experience of Operational Engineering within a Manufacturing environment
  • Computer literate

Education and Certifications

  • Time served mechanic
