Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging Computer Science lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4.

  • Prepare students for GCSE exams through effective teaching and assessment strategies.

  • Develop schemes of work that incorporate both theoretical and practical computing knowledge.

  • Promote digital literacy, problem-solving, and logical thinking.

  • Use up-to-date tools, platforms, and resources to enhance learning.

  • Maintain excellent classroom management and a positive, inclusive learning environment.

  • Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and parents to support student progress.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialism in Computer Science or ICT.

  • Experience teaching Computer Science at Key Stage 3 and 4 (GCSE), or recent PGCE/placement experience for ECTs.

  • Passion for technology and commitment to staying updated with the evolving digital landscape.

  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.

  • An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).

  • A full 10-year career history with references covering at least the last two years, including your most recent role.
