SALARY- 35,000 to 45,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Premier Engineering is working with a well-established engineering company based in Worksop who are looking to recruit a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team. This is a great opportunity to work on bespoke machinery and engineered systems across a range of industries.
The Mechanical Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
- A degree or HND/HNC in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Strong experience using 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, Inventor, or similar
- Experience designing machinery, assemblies, or mechanical systems
- Good understanding of manufacturing processes such as machining, fabrication, and welding
- Ability to produce detailed technical drawings and BOMs
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Able to work well both independently and as part of a team
- Creating detailed 3D CAD models and drawings for manufacture
- Working on new product development as well as updates to existing products
- Liaising with the production team to ensure manufacturability
- Supporting project delivery from concept through to final assembly
- Participating in design reviews and engineering discussions
- Ensuring that designs meet functional, safety, and quality standards
