Our client is a well-established and successful manufacturer, they are looking for experienced individuals to join them as a Assembly Operative / Assembler (Semi-skilled Workshop Fitter). This is a practical role where you’ll support the production process by assembling components to specification, maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.
PLEASE ONLY APPLY IF YOU MEET THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA:
- Experience in production assembly or manufacturing environments
- Skilled with a wide variety of hand and power tools
- Able to read and interpret Engineering diagrams and instructions for builds
- Experience in vehicle body building, truck or coach building is a bonus
- Able to record activities and complete documentation accurately
- Self-motivated with a “can-do” attitude and team spirit
- Willing to learn new skills and adapt to different tasks
- Flexible with working hours and available for overtime when required
Salary: £15.27 per hour + Overtime
Hours of work: 40 hours a week, 6:00am - 4:30om, Monday to Thursday (+ Overtime on Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
Key Responsibilities:
- Follow engineering drawings, build procedures, and instructions to assemble the company’s vehicles using a wide variety of hand and power tools
- Take ownership of your own quality and inspect your work
- Support team members and assist with other operations as needed
- Be flexible and willing to move between departments when required
- Maintain punctuality, discipline, and a positive attitude
