Care Worker

Belmont Recruitment are currently looking for a Care Worker to join an Adult Day Service on an initial 3 month temporary contract. This is a full-time role working 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Day services, also known as day centres, provide residents with the opportunity to get out and do something during the day, to help themstay independent. These include: social activities, education, employment and training, local facilities and housing.

The Role:

• To provide a range of assistance and support in response to the day to day personal, physical, and emotional needs of people in a manner that always respects the dignity of the person and relate to people in a manner which is sensitive to age, disability, sexuality, gender and cultural origin.as described in care plans.
• To positively support individuals within a risk management framework and to escalate any risks or unresolved difficulties.
• To contribute to the completion of care plans based on effective consultation with people that use day opportunities, carers, specialist workers and other relevant agencies.

Requirements:

• Professional Care Qualification or equivelent
• Previous experience of supporting adults to live independently
• Enhanced DBS
