Sonic Summary
- We are seeking an experienced SENCo to join our dedicated team at a Special Needs school.
- The successful candidate will lead the provision for pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and ensure an inclusive learning environment.
- Candidates must have at least 3 years of experience in a similar role within a primary or secondary setting.
- The salary for this position is competitive and commensurate with experience.
- Essential qualifications include QTS, a good knowledge of SEND legislation, and excellent communication and leadership skills.
As a SENCo you will oversee and coordinat SEND provision across the school and identify and assess pupils with SEND and ensure appropriate interventions are in place.
You will develop and implement Individual Education Plans and Education, Health and Care Plans. By working closely with teachers, support staff, parents and external agencies to ensure effective support.
Monitoring and evaluating the impact of SEND strategies and interventions and ensuring cmpliance with the SEND Code of Practice and statutory requirements.
As the SENCo you will providing training and guidance to staff on inclusive teaching strategies and maintain accurate records and contribute to whole school improvement planning.
Essential Qualifications/Skills
QTS
Good knowledge of SEND legislation and best practice
Excellent communication and leadership
Ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple priorities
Experience in a similar role within a primary/secondary setting
Mandatory requirements of an enhanced DBS, right to work in UK, professional references will need to be provided for the role.
