Alexander James Recruiting is working with a well-established dealer of forklift trucks looking to bring on a new Service Controller to oversee their service function out of their depot in Kent. With a competitive basic salary and a good overall package, this is a great opportunity for an experienced service controller or an engineer looking to get into something new with a growing company.
Responsibilities
- Managing the field service engineers and their schedules
- Overseeing all service/ breakdowns and preparing weekly reports
- Visiting customer sites and managing their service requirements
- Monitoring costs and revenue across the service department
- Working alongside the Engineering Manager and Operations Manager to ensure service levels are optimal
Requirements
The company have a preference for candidates with experience working in a service controller/coordinator role in the past within the forklift industry. This isn’t essential however, they would also consider applicants working in a similar role in a closely related industry sch as Commercial Vehicles or Plant Hire. It may also be a good opportunity for an experienced engineer looking to move from the tools. In terms of location, you will ideally be based within a commutable distance of Maidstone, Kent.
