This school is seeking a dedicated School Caretaker to join their team in Worthing and play a vital role in maintaining the school's premises and supporting day-to-day operations.Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the school site is clean, safe, and well-maintained.
- Carry out minor repairs, maintenance, and basic DIY tasks.
- Oversee security of the premises, including opening/locking up.
- Monitor heating, lighting, and alarm systems.
- Support with setting up school events and activities.
- Liaise with contractors and manage site access when needed.
Requirements
- Previous experience in care-taking or facilities role (school experience preferred).
- Basic knowledge of health and safety, COSHH, and manual handling.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Friendly, approachable, and professional.
