Reed is advertising this role on behalf of our client, a leading manufacturing company dedicated to delivering high-quality products to their customers. They are seeking a dynamic and experienced Operations Manager to join their team and oversee various critical functions within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Purchasing: Manage procurement processes to ensure timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials.
  • Production: Oversee production schedules and workflows to maximize efficiency and meet deadlines.
  • Assembly: Supervise assembly operations to ensure quality and consistency.
  • Stock Control: Implement and maintain inventory management systems to optimize stock levels.
  • Customer Service: Lead customer service initiatives to ensure exceptional client satisfaction.
  • Invoicing: Oversee invoicing processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Reporting: Preparing reports and updates for the Board of Directors
  • Systems Development: Maintain and develop systems to keep the Managing Director (MD) informed and updated.
  • Travel: Limited travel required, only a small portion of the role involves visiting customers, suppliers, and exhibitions.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in operations management within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in inventory management and ERP systems.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
