Position: Maintenance Engineer

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join a forward-thinking Production Engineering team in Worthing, supporting the reliability, performance, and improvement of cutting-edge manufacturing operations.
Job Overview
* Respond swiftly to equipment breakdowns and process failures, diagnosing faults and restoring production functionality.
* Deliver preventative and reactive maintenance programs across production equipment, robotics, and plant machinery.
* Identify and implement opportunities for risk reduction and process improvement within manufacturing.
* Supervise and develop direct reports, including work allocation, performance appraisals, and training.
* Collaborate with production and engineering teams to ensure smooth operation of all systems.
* Support weekend and late-shift work as required to maintain critical manufacturing uptime.
Requirements
* Qualification in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent time-served experience.
* Minimum 5 years' experience in machine maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
* Proven experience supervising and managing team performance.
* Confident in mentoring and supporting junior employees and apprentices.
* Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams.
* Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and machine shop equipment.
* Familiarity with CNC machinery, robotics, and electromechanical systems advantageous.

* 08:00-17:00 Monday-Friday (1 week in 7 there would be a late shift required of 12:00-21:00)
