Location: Worthing, West Sussex
Hours: Full-Time (Shift pattern: 7:30am-4:00pm or 9:30am-6:00pm)
Pay: 14.00-18.00 per hour (depending on experience & qualifications)
Contract: Maternity Cover - Fixed Term
A friendly and well-established nursery in Worthing is seeking a room leader to cover maternity leave. This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a leadership role and support a dedicated team in delivering high-quality early years education.
About the role:
- Lead a room team to provide a safe, stimulating, and caring environment
- Plan and deliver engaging activities in line with the EYFS
- Support children's development through observation, assessment, and tailored learning
- Build strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues
- Maintain high standards of safeguarding, health & safety, and wellbeing
What we're looking for:
- Level 3 (or above) qualification in Early Years Education or Childcare
- Previous experience in a nursery setting, ideally in a leadership role
- Strong understanding of the EYFS and safeguarding procedures
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A warm, proactive, and team-focused approach
