Full-time | Immediate Start | Long-term opportunity

Academics are working with a specialist school in the Worthing area who are seeking a Special Needs Learning Support Assistant to join their dedicated team as soon as possible.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a special needs learning support assistant who is passionate about supporting children and young people with a range of additional needs, helping them to thrive both academically and personally.



The Role:

  • Supporting students with special educational needs in and out of the classroom

  • Working closely with teachers and other support staff to create an inclusive learning environment

  • Encouraging independence, building confidence, and promoting positive behaviour

  • Providing 1:1 and small group support tailored to individual needs



We are looking for:

  • Previous experience as a special needs learning support assistant, supporting children or young people (desirable but not essential)

  • A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of young learners

  • Able to commute to Worthing
