?? Job SummaryWe are seeking a GPhC-registered Pharmacist with NHS experience to support our dispensary services. The primary responsibility will be to clinically screen and accuracy-check dispensed items, ensuring safe and effective supply of medicines to patients. This is an ongoing requirement to support high-volume dispensary operations.
?? Key Responsibilities- Perform clinical screening of prescriptions to ensure appropriateness, legality, and safety.
- Conduct final accuracy checks on dispensed items in accordance with NHS and GPhC standards.
- Liaise with prescribers and pharmacy technicians to resolve prescription queries.
- Ensure compliance with local SOPs, controlled drug regulations, and medicines legislation.
- Support the training and supervision of junior staff and pre-registration trainees.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to audit and quality assurance processes.
- GPhC registration as a Pharmacist.
- Minimum 6 months of UK hospital or NHS dispensary experience.
- Strong understanding of dispensary workflows, clinical screening, and accuracy checking.
- Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
- Experience with JAC, EPMA, or other NHS pharmacy systems.
- Familiarity with high-cost drugs, TTOs, and outpatient dispensing.
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
