Cable Assembler Salary: £25,000 (Rising after probation)  Location: Worthing, West SussexHours: Full Time, 37 Hrs p/wStart Date: ASAPType: PermanentThis is a great opportunity to join a well-established manufacturing business near Worthing, working on high-precision components within a world-class environment.As a Cable Assembler, you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality electrical assemblies, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and working on cutting-edge prototype developmentCable Assembly Responsibilities:
  • Electrical Loom Assembly: Precisely assemble electrical looms and cable harnesses following schematic drawings and technical instructions.
  • Technical Expertise: Work closely with BoMs (Bill of Materials) to ensure the correct components are used while maintaining stock control of electrical consumables.
  • Prototype Development: Collaborate with the Electrical Design team to build and refine electrical and electro-mechanical sub-systems.
  • Performance & Quality Focus: Work alongside the Team Leader to meet production targets and ensure the highest quality standards.
  • Problem-Solving & Diagnostics: Apply electrical theory and electronic principles to diagnose and rectify faults in sub-systems
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in low-volume, high-complexity manufacturing techniques and processes.
  • Understanding of OEM automotive vehicle systems and their integration.
  • Knowledge of military specification radios and electrical sub-systems (or equivalent).
  • Awareness of electromagnetic influences on electrical sub-systems and networks.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics
