Reed Food & FMCG are currently partnering with a Food Manufacturing Business in Gloucestershire who are seeking a Technical Compliance Officer. This role is pivotal to the business to ensure products meet the highest standards of compliance with BRCGS, GMP, and customer requirements.

Day-to-Day of the Role:

  • Support the factory with technical issues, internal audits, and traceability exercises.
  • Maintain internal systems to meet BRCGS and customer compliance requirements.
  • Log and investigate non-conformances and manage the pest control contractor.
  • Support routine GMP, hygiene, and procedural audits.
  • Liaise with production and other teams on compliance issues.
  • Work cross-functionally to uphold and improve site standards.
  • Write and develop company systems & procedures in line with BRCGS, M&S, and customer requirements.
  • Serve as the technical key contact for the factory, addressing technical issues and queries.
  • Manage customer contacts, queries, and investigations.
  • Support internal/procedure audits and manage Halal, Kosher, and Sedex certification.
  • Assist in raw material data and specification management within procedure compliance.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong communicator with excellent documentation and system skills.
  • Working knowledge of BRCGS, M&S, and food manufacturing standards.
  • Competent in using Microsoft Office and Outlook, including Word and Excel.
  • HND or degree (or equivalent) in Food Science / Technology or similar.
  • GCSE or equivalent at Grade B or above in Maths and English.
  • Excellent time management skills with a flexible approach to work.
  • Full Right to Work in the UK.
  • Full Clean Driving Licence.
