Operational Prison Support
Location: HMP Leyhill
Shift Pattern: Part-time, 22hrs hour per week Wednesday to Friday [Wednesday and Thursday 7.30am to 5pm, Fridays would be 7.30am to 4.30pm]
Hourly rate: 12.98 per hour, increasing up to 17.26 per hour weekdays overtime and 22.71 per hour weekends overtime
Ready for a rewarding role in the justice system? We're hiring an Operational Support Grade (SSO) to join our team in HMP Leyhill. Contribute to vital security operations including gate duties, visitor checks, prisoner escorts, CCTV monitoring, and more.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage entry/exit and searches at the gate
- Escort contractors, vehicles, and prisoners
- Monitor CCTV, report suspicious activity
- Process visitors and oversee mail censorship
- Assist with prisoner processing and food delivery
