Adeptus is recruiting for a Assembly & Production Technician on behalf of our Bristol-based client, a globally recognised leader in their industry.  

Role Overview:  

We are seeking a hardworking and enthusiastic Assembly & Production Technician to join our clients small, ambitious team. This is a varied role that values adaptability and a proactive approach.   The successful candidate will take ownership of the assembly process, assist with stock management, and provide customer support through close collaboration with the Engineering and Operations teams. While the primary focus is order fulfilment and technical support, there will also be opportunities to contribute to our exciting R&D projects.  

Key Duties:

  • Inspect incoming components, manage quality issues, and coordinate with suppliers on non-conforming items.
  • Assemble production hardware, including mechanical, optical, PC systems, wiring, and software installation.
  • Support R&D by building prototypes, test rigs, and custom cable assemblies.
  • Test completed systems to ensure faultless performance and compliance with procedures.
  • Maintain accurate build and test records in line with company standards.
  • Provide hardware and technical support to customers, including occasional domestic and international travel.

Skills & Experience:

  • Skilled with basic hand tools, with experience in soldering, wiring, cable assembly, and PC or hardware system builds.
  • Able to accurately follow build instructions and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Strong communicator, comfortable working with colleagues, peers, and customers.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive problem-solver with a practical, can-do attitude.
  • Capable of managing multiple tasks while maintaining high quality standards, both independently and as part of a team.
