We are seeking an experienced and skilled Panel Beater to join our established bodyshop team in Wrexham. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified technician to work in a well-equipped, busy workshop with a steady flow of quality work.
Key Responsibilities
- Repair and restore damaged vehicle bodywork to manufacturer standards
- Remove dents, reshape panels, and prepare surfaces for painting
- Replace damaged panels and body sections as required
- Carry out welding and fabrication work
- Work with a variety of materials including steel and aluminium
- Use specialist tools and equipment to straighten chassis and body frames
- Ensure all work meets quality standards and is completed to deadlines
- Work with jig systems and measuring equipment to ensure accurate alignment
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Collaborate with other team members including spray painters and technicians
- Complete job cards and documentation accurately
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience as a Panel Beater/Panel Technician
- NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Body Repair or equivalent qualification (desirable)
- Strong knowledge of vehicle body repair techniques and processes
- Proficient in MIG/spot welding
- Experience working with modern vehicle construction materials
- Ability to work to high standards with excellent attention to detail
- Good time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
- ATA accreditation (desirable)
- Full UK driving licence
