Your new companyA well-established and respected food manufacturing company based in Wrexham is currently seeking a skilled Production Planner to join their growing Supply Chain team. Your new roleAs a Production Planner, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth running of the production process by developing and managing production schedules. You will be responsible for balancing production capacity with customer demand, optimising workflow, and making sure that materials and resources are efficiently used to meet targets.Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage detailed production schedules to ensure customer demand is met while maintaining high levels of efficiency and minimising downtime.
- Work closely with the production and warehouse teams to ensure that all resources, materials, and employees are allocated effectively.
- Monitor inventory levels to ensure that raw materials are available in line with production schedules, and work with suppliers to address any shortages.
- Maintain up-to-date records on production plans, forecasts, and stock levels, providing regular updates to senior management.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any production delays or issues in a timely manner, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant quality, health, and safety regulations, contributing to a safe and productive work environment.
- Continuously assess processes and propose improvements to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and drive cost efficiencies.
To be considered for this role, you will need:
- Proven experience in production planning in a fast-paced manufacturing / production environment.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams and with suppliers.
- A proactive problem-solver with the ability to react quickly to unforeseen production challenges.
- IT literate and able to pick up new systems quickly
- A good understanding of health and safety standards within a manufacturing environment.
- To be able to commit to working on a 4-on-4-off shift pattern, 6am-6pm
