Warehouse / Despatch Operative

Great opportunity to work as a Warehouse / Despatch Operative for our client, a professional yet friendly company who specialises in making and developing chilled meals for the top UK supermarkets, making over 3.7million chilled meals every week.

Staffline is recruiting Warehouse / Despatch Operative in Wrexham.

The rate of pay is:
- £12.43 per hour rising to £13.74 per hour for days
- £14.81 per hour for nights on completion of training

This is a full-time role, and the hours of work are:
- 4 on 4 off, 6am to 6pm
- 4 on 4 off, 6pm to 6am

Your Time at Work
The responsibilities of a Warehouse / Despatch Operative, your duties will include:

- Order Picking, some FLT Reach work if trained and Loading Vehicles
- Using handheld scanners or RF guns
- Reading labels and codes accurately
- Spotting discrepancies (wrong item, damaged packaging)
- Counting quantities correctly
- Working with units, boxes, cases, pallets
- Understanding pick lists, handheld scanner prompts
- Following standard operating procedures
- Working at a good pace without sacrificing accuracy
- Physically fit as Bending, lifting, and reaching is required
- Using correct lifting techniques following warehouse safety rules

Our Perfect Worker
Our ideal Warehouse / Despatch Operative:

- Able to work in cold stores, minus 5 degrees.
- Use of PPT is required to undertake all tasks, candidates with a current licence preferred but training can be provided.
- Experience in a similar role required.
