Head of Computing and IT overview:

A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced teacher and future leader to join us as we nurture and develop the dreams and aspirations of our young people.

Appleton Academy is an ā€˜all-through’ school educating children and young people from 3-16 years old. We are proud that we are a community that works together to inspire, nurture and develop one another. Appleton Academy is a ā€œGoodā€ school. Ofsted said the following.
ā€˜Leaders have high expectations of pupils. These expectations are evident as you walk around the school. ’The school is calm and purposeful.’ ā€˜Pupils feel listened to and they are proud of their school.’ ā€˜Leaders encourage pupils to read often.’

The secondary phase has approximately 180 pupils in each year group from year 7 to year 11. We have planned a broad, balanced and rich curriculum experience that is designed to inspire enthusiasm for learning, ensure achievement and to support pupil well-being and happiness. It enables us to build strong relationships, celebrate diversity, encourage respect and build a sense of community. It provides and acknowledges success for all children, in all aspects of their development and it recognises, encourages and celebrates all types of talent.
