My client who is a prestigious and well-established business in Somerset are seeking a Food Technologist to join their passionate and quality-driven team. This is a unique opportunity to work within a dynamic, high-end manufacturing environment that prides itself on excellence, innovation, and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and manage robust food safety policies, procedures, and programs across retail and production.

  • Deliver regular training on hygiene, food safety, and compliance requirements to staff.

  • Conduct food safety audits and GMP checks, ensuring adherence to the latest regulatory standards.

  • Liaise with suppliers to evaluate their food safety practices and resolve any non-conformances.

  • Investigate and resolve customer complaints through cross-functional collaboration.

  • Manage and maintain accurate product specifications using internal systems.

  • Monitor and report on food safety performance, driving continuous improvement.

Required Experience:

  • Previous experience in a similar technical food role (retail, hospitality or production setting).

  • Solid understanding of HACCP, food hygiene, and food labelling legislation.

  • Strong IT and data analysis skills to support specification and compliance work.

  • Excellent communication, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure.
