Our client are a successful and well established engineering company with a proven track record in their industry and our looking for a experienced Forklift Driver to join their team. The successful Forklift Operator will ideally have a Reach and Counterbalance forklift licence (will accept inhouse), although they will consider candidates who only hold a Counterbalance certificate and have previously worked in a busy distribution or stockholding environment - ideally within Steel, Wood or other engineering environments.

Duties of the Forklift Operator will involve:

  • Loading and Unloading vehicles
  • Putting stock away on racking
  • Order picking and packing
  • Operating various machines (training will be provided)
  • Taking part in stock checks (as and when required)

The successful candidate will have experience in a similar role and have excellent attention to detail, as well as good numeracy and literacy skills. This role will involve a mixture of forklift work to unload vehicles, as well as some handballing.
