The Senior Electronics Engineer is responsible for design and development of electronics for instrumentation and acoustics applications.
The work will involve mixed signal design including amplifiers, filters, power supplies, interfacing, and analogue-digital conversion for precision instrumentation applications.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
Expertise in analogue and digital circuit design preferably in an instrumentation development environment.
Some experience or knowledge of microcontroller-based circuit design and embedded software essential. Power supply technology
Some experience or knowledge of FPGA based circuit design is desirable. Circuit analysis, modelling, and theory
You would be expected to produce design documentation and test specifications. Interfacing and IO (e.g. I2C and SPI bus)
Ability to solder, prototype and modify electronic PCB assemblies (IPC training can be provided)
CAD Schematic layout OrCAD design software or experience with similar tools.
Qualifications
BSc/BEng or equivalent in Engineering or similar discipline (2:1 or higher)

Ability to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplined team.
Attention to detail and time management skills.
Good written and presentational communication skills will be required.
Excellent communication at all levels within and outside the Company.
Other Requirements
Due to the nature of the role, there will be an occasional need for working outside normal working hours.
There will be a need to travel to customer sites on an occasional basis.
Candidate would be expected to provide occasional offshore support as required including some overseas travel.
