About the Role

Chelsea Technologies are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Project Manager to lead and deliver complex, custom projects within our engineering and technology teams. This role is pivotal in ensuring that projects are executed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, contributing to the development of innovative subsea technologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Planning & Execution:Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, timelines, resources, and budgets. Oversee the execution of projects, ensuring adherence to plans and timely delivery.

  • Stakeholder Management:Liaise with internal teams, customers, and external partners to ensure clear communication and alignment on project objectives and progress.

  • Risk Management:Identify potential project risks and implement mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project outcomes.

  • Quality Assurance:Ensure all project deliverables meet the required quality standards and specifications.

  • Documentation & Reporting:Maintain accurate project documentation and provide regular updates to senior management and stakeholders on project status, issues, and milestones.

  • Post-Project Evaluation:Conduct project closeout reviews to assess outcomes, identify lessons learned, and recommend improvements for future projects.

Essential Skills & Experience
  • Project Management Expertise:Proven experience in managing complex projects, with a strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools.

  • Stakeholder Engagement:Experience in managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.

  • Problem-Solving:Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify issues and implement effective solutions.

  • Organizational Skills:Excellent planning and organizational abilities, with a keen attention to detail.

  • Communication:Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying complex information clearly.

Qualifications
  • Essential:Educated to degree level (BSc/BEng) in Engineering or a related discipline, or possess equivalent industry experience.

  • Desirable:Project Management certification (e.g., APM PMQ, PRINCE2) and experience in delivering projects within the defence sector.

Security Clearance

Security clearance will be required upon appointment. Applicants must be UK passport holders and have proof of UK residency for the past five years.
