About the Role

As Project Manager, you will be responsible for delivering a range of bespoke engineering projects on time, within budget, and to specification. You'll work closely with internal engineering teams and external stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution, from planning through to installation and customer support.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the end-to-end delivery of custom engineering projects.
Create and manage detailed project plans, budgets, and milestones.
Coordinate internal teams and ensure cross-departmental collaboration.
Liaise directly with customers and maintain clear, ongoing communication.
Prepare technical documentation including specifications, test plans, and manuals.
Conduct risk assessments and escalate issues when needed.
Support system testing, validation, and final handover.
Facilitate lessons-learned reviews to drive continuous improvement.

Essential:

Proven project management experience in an engineering, manufacturing, or product development environment.
Strong organisational, time management, and multi-tasking skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
Experience working with customers and stakeholders at all levels.
Understanding of product development lifecycle (hardware/firmware/software).
Detail-oriented, proactive, and results-driven mindset.

Desirable:

Experience managing defence or government-related projects.
Familiarity with cross-functional teams (mechanical, software, and electronics engineers).
APM PMQ, PRINCE2, or similar project management certification.

Qualifications

Degree in Engineering or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
Project management certification is a plus.
