Certain Advantageis hiring for a Project Manager, for a highly reputable manufacturer of underwater technology, based in Northeast Hampshire.

This role is on a permanent basis and is predominantly based at the company's manufacturing facility.

Are you a Project Manager, with experience managing manufacturing and / or defence projects, looking to join a renowned leader in the development of cutting-edge sensor technology?

You will be in a pivotal role, involved in managing the design and development of bespoke, high value underwater commercial products and defence projects.

The Company:

We are working with a pioneering UK-based company at the forefront of environmental sensing technology, renowned for delivering world-class sensor and monitoring solutions across Defence, Energy and Oceanographic Research. With a strong legacy in scientific innovation and precision engineering, this organisation supports clients globally with advanced instrumentation that enables vital environmental monitoring, from oceanography and water quality to naval applications.

The Role:

This role would suit someone with a strong background in Project Management for manufacturing, and / or Defence.

You'll be a key member of the Engineering team, operating at the intersection of design / development, manufacturing, operations and client liaison.
  • Deliver custom projects within budget, and to specification, ensuring proper planning, resourcing and executive. Assist with NRE estimations, monitor costs, and raise deviations with SLT
  • Ensure comprehensive project specifications and designs are produced that identify and document functional requirements and performance characteristics of the system
  • Develop test procedures to validate the integrated hardware/firmware/software elements and deliverable configured systems with documented results
  • Prepare and control Project documentation to individual customer requirements
  • Communicate efficiently and effectively with internal and external stakeholders / clients

The Individual:

Were looking for people who can show:
  • Project Management experience, from a Manufacturing and / or Defence background
  • Knowledge of the Product Development process / lifecycle
  • Degree level or equivalent in Engineering or similar discipline
  • Ideally a relevant qualification, such as APM, PMQ, PRINCE2 or similar
