TeamJobs are seeking experienced and skilled CNC Miller Operative to join our client's team in Yeovil. The successful candidates will be responsible for CNC milling of aerospace components in strict accordance with manufacturing instructions, specifications, and regulatory requirements.

Pay Rate: 28.49
Location: Yeovil, Somerset

Working hours:

Sun - Mon, 22:00 - 07:00 (8.5 hrs)
Mon - Fri, 00:00 - 07:00 (6.5 hrs)



Key Responsibilities:

  • Programming, setting, and operating 3-axis CNC milling centres
  • Operator Control of Quality (OCQ) to ensure precision and compliance
  • Interpretation of engineering drawings and adherence to process documentation
  • Meeting production schedules by ensuring timely and accurate completion of work


Qualifications and Experience:

  • Engineering apprenticeship (desirable but not essential)
  • Proven knowledge and experience in CNC milling operations
  • Proficiency in the use of precision hand measuring instruments such as Vernier calipers, micrometers, thread, and plug gauges
  • Commitment to maintaining high health and safety standards
  • Experience working within a customer-focused manufacturing environment


Skills and Attributes:

  • Understanding of aerospace manufacturing practices and safety-critical work requirements
  • Competency in PC use and company operating systems
  • Ability to work effectively in a team, demonstrate flexibility, and use initiative
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and adherence to company processes and procedures
